It is easier to divert a mighty river at its source - where it is a tranquil trickle, rather than a raging rapid. Behaviours are similarly handled. To often resistance to change is focused on, rather than creating and embedding an integrated and framework of change. Resistance to change is is the symptom, not the disease.

The creation of a change program requires the combination of the following elements:

  • Reinforcement of the message through performance and remuneration systems, corporate vision, mission and values
  • Alignment of the organisation, its roles and responsibilities
  • Living the message by all stakeholders
